31 AKAP Bus Counters at Kampung Rambutan Terminal Moved to Second Floor

Some 31 intercity interprovincial bus (AKAP) counters at Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal, East Jakarta have been relocated from the ground floor to the second floor.

It aims to serve 120 existing Otobus or PO companies

Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal Head, Yulza Ramadhoni said the relocation of ticket sales counters from the ground floor to the second floor was to improve service to consumers.

"Relocation has been done since yesterday. It aims to serve 120 existing Otobus or PO companies. Each counter can be used by four to five PO buses," he expressed.

Illegal Ticket Bus Counter will Be Monitored Tightly

According to him, it was also done to prevent the practice of ticket brokering in the terminal area. Because, the second floor area is a restricted area that not just anyone can enter.

"Currently, online ticket purchases have also been implemented. Thus, sales or prices for AKAP bus tickets can be more transparent to the public," he explained.

He added the ex-counter area on the ground floor would be used as a place for storing goods, especially POs that serve delivery of goods packages.

"In this area, the integrated service post will also be set up, both from Satpol PP, Social Service, Police, and others," he explained.

Mi'rat Lesmana (48), one of PO Epa Star officers admitted he fully supports relocating this ticket counter. Moreover, indeed the sales system has been carried out online

"By so, passengers are also more satisfied and there are no brokers running around. The place is sterile, those who enter the second floor area have all identification marks," he stated.

According to him, the system implemented on the second floor was modern with a digital system. So, it facilitates the service system and the public to know the actual ticket price, as it has been installed in the ticket sales application.

"While on the ground floor, it is still a manual or conventional system and is prone to triggering brokering practices," he explained.

He added PO Epa Star itself has implemented an online system since 2021.

"We have 48 fleets prepared to serve the Jakarta, Palembang, Jambi, Bengkulu, Sekayu, Tanjung Enim, Prabu Mulih, and Padang routes," he said.
